49ers Add $300,000 Roster Bonus to Mac Jones Contract

The team added a $300,000 roster bonus. Jones is now scheduled to earn $3.55 million in 2026 with up to $2.25 million in additional incentives.

The revised agreement leaves Jones eligible for free agency in March 2027. He can earn a maximum of $5.8 million under the new structure. Jones appeared in 11 games during the 2025 season after replacing an injured teammate. He completed nearly 70 percent of his passes for 2,151 yards, 13 touchdowns and six interceptions while the team posted a 5-3 record in his starts.

The contract change occurred roughly one month after the head coach stated surprise that no trade offers had been made for Jones during the offseason.
