Kicker Adam Vinatieri will enter the Indianapolis Colts Ring of Honor during a ceremony on October 18 at Lucas Oil Stadium. The event will take place before the Colts host the Tennessee Titans. Vinatieri will become the 21st person associated with the franchise to receive the distinction, ESPN reported.
He is scheduled to enter the Pro Football Hall of Fame next month. Vinatieri joined the Colts as a free agent in 2006 after 10 seasons with the New England Patriots. In the 2006 postseason he converted 14 field goals, including five during a divisional-round win over the Baltimore Ravens and three in the Super Bowl XLI victory over the Chicago Bears.
Over a 24-year career he set NFL records with 2,673 points scored and 599 field goals made. He also holds the league mark for consecutive field goals with a streak of 44 during the 2015-16 seasons.
