Alabama man arrested on capital murder charges in deaths of couple

An Alabama man was arrested early Sunday morning on one count of capital murder, two counts of murder, one count of burglary, and additional drug-related charges in the deaths of a military veteran and his wife. Court records indicate the suspect killed the woman with an electric saw and struck or stabbed the man in the head with a metallic object.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for August 20. The suspect is also under investigation for a separate burglary that occurred before the killings, authorities said. Officials have not established a motive.
