Amanda Serrano stopped Cheyenne Hanson at MVPW-03 on May 31, 2026 in El Paso, Texas, tying Christy Martin's all-time women's knockout record with 32 KOs. Serrano improved to 49-4-1 with the victory. Serrano, the WBO and WBA featherweight champion, told ESPN that 2026 would likely be the final year of her professional boxing career.

She said she wants her final fight to be in Puerto Rico, where she lives, or in New York. Serrano added that she is not necessarily interested in a fight with Alycia Baumgardner and is happy fighting her mandatories while focused on leaving the sport with 50 wins and the KO record.

Serrano has won titles in seven divisions during her 17-year professional boxing career and was responsible for bringing women's boxing to the forefront with the Katie Taylor trilogy.

Her next opponent is expected to be either the WBO's No. 1 contender Lucrecia Manzur, who holds a record of 14-4 with 7 KOs, or the WBA's highest-ranked opponent Shannel Butler, who is undefeated at 7-0 with 3 KOs. Stephanie Han defeated Holly Holm by majority decision to retain her WBA lightweight title at the same event.

The judges' scorecards read 96-94, 96-94 and 95-95. Holm outlanded Han 107-70 in total punches and had a strong second half after adjustments from their first fight in January, which Holm lost by technical decision. Han needed every ounce of her hometown support to leave the ring as champion.
