Background to the Lawsuit The Central Jewish Council cited Ye's past antisemitic remarks, including statements praising Adolf Hitler and the sale of merchandise featuring swastikas. The organization expressed disappointment with the ruling. Dutch lawmakers passed a motion urging authorities to bar Ye from entering the country. " Concert organizers report that 70,000 tickets have been sold for the two Arnhem performances. Ye's first European shows in more than a decade follow a January apology published in The Wall Street Journal, in which he attributed past behavior to a manic episode linked to bipolar disorder.
Concerts planned for Italy and Poland were subsequently canceled. More than 100,000 people attended a performance in Istanbul on Saturday.
