Andy Reid Says No Distractions for Travis Kelce Ahead of Wedding
Kansas City Chiefs coach Andy Reid said he could not discuss whether he would attend the wedding of Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift during a Thursday news conference.
ESPNKansas City Chiefs coach Andy Reid was asked during a Thursday news conference whether he would attend the wedding of tight end Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift. "Can't talk about it, can't talk about it," Reid said, laughing. Reid stated that Kelce had been at the Chiefs facility most or all of the offseason, participated in mandatory camp, and performed well.
He said there were "no distractions" with the wedding and that Kelce appeared focused on his job. Reid compared the situation to his own marriage, stating his wife handled the planning and he followed her lead. Kelce participated in the Chiefs' mandatory minicamp this week at the team's training facility in Kansas City, Missouri, catching passes from quarterback Patrick Mahomes.
The couple have planned to marry before the Chiefs' training camp, which is expected to start in late July. Page Six reported last week that the wedding will be held in midtown Manhattan inside Madison Square Garden. Taylor Swift attended Game 4 of the NBA Finals on Wednesday between the New York Knicks and San Antonio Spurs, sitting courtside.
The Knicks rallied from a 29-point deficit to win 107-106, marking the largest comeback win in NBA playoff history. A Knicks win in Game 6 on Saturday would give them their first NBA championship since 1973. A few weeks ago, Kelce and Swift attended an NBA Eastern Conference finals game, with Kelce supporting the Cleveland Cavaliers and Swift supporting the Knicks.
