Anfernee Simons agrees to two-year deal with 76ers
Free agent guard Anfernee Simons reached a two-year, $12.3 million agreement with the Philadelphia 76ers that includes a player option in the second season. The signing adds outside shooting to a roster that recently acquired Jaylen Brown in a trade with the Boston Celtics.

Simons selected the 76ers over other teams after determining the roster fit matched his playing style, according to people familiar with his decision.
His agent, Bill Duffy of WME Basketball, notified the 76ers of the choice Thursday afternoon.
Trade reshapes 76ers roster The 76ers completed a trade Wednesday that brought former NBA Finals MVP Jaylen Brown from the Boston Celtics. In exchange, Philadelphia sent Paul George, two first-round picks in 2028 and 2031, and two second-round selections in 2028 and 2030.
The addition of Simons is intended to strengthen the team's bench scoring and perimeter shooting after the 76ers ranked among the bottom three in both categories last season.
Simons' recent performance and injury Simons averaged 14.2 points while shooting 39.5 percent from three-point range in 49 games with the Celtics before being dealt to another team. He appeared in six games with that club before a left wrist injury ended his season.
Over the past five seasons, Simons has averaged 18.8 points per game and ranked sixth in three-pointers made off the bench in the most recent campaign. He previously signed a four-year, $100 million contract with the Portland Trail Blazers in 2022 and has reached at least 17 points per game in four different seasons.
