Apple Releases First Public Beta of iOS 27

Apple released the first public beta of iOS 27 on July 14, 2026. The software runs on all devices compatible with iOS 26, which includes the iPhone 11 series and later models. Apple Intelligence features remain limited to the iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max and newer devices.
Expressive voices for Siri appear only on the iPhone 17 Pro, iPhone 17 Pro Max and iPhone Air. The iPhone 17 Pro receives the largest set of Siri AI updates in this release. To install the beta, users first register at beta.apple.com.
They then open Settings, select General, tap Software Update, choose Beta Updates and pick iOS 27 Public Beta. The download reaches 32GB on an iPhone 17 Pro Max. Some Reddit users called the build the most stable they have tested since iOS 10, while others noted it remains a beta that Apple advises against installing on primary devices.
