Argentina used its fifth and final regulation substitution at the 70th minute of the World Cup final against Spain on Sunday. The score stood at 0-0 when manager Lionel Scaloni sent on Giuliano Simeone and Facundo Medina, leaving the defending champions with no further changes available before extra time. World Cup rules permit five substitutions during regulation time.
