A 31-year-old man was charged this week with breaking into the Maricopa County Medical Examiner's Office and having sexual contact with four corpses, according to county prosecutors. Fenris Lu allegedly used a crowbar to enter the facility overnight. Law enforcement sources told Fox 10 that surveillance footage showed him opening 11 body bags.

Authorities responded after a 911 call reporting a possible burglary. The Maricopa County Sheriff's Office said Lu was taken into custody without incident. Prosecutors filed four counts of sexual conduct with a dead person along with burglary and related charges.

Court documents have been sealed at the prosecutor's request. Lu did not appear in court due to combative behavior, and a judge set his bond at $500,000, ABC 15 reported. A representative for the prosecutor's office said investigators need additional time to notify relatives of the victims and to assess any impact on other criminal cases.
