Connelly Competition.
The competition drew a team of Champion Brigade culinarians who executed field feeding tasks at the Eighth Army level. Per the U.S. Department of Defense release, the event tests units on their ability to provide high-quality meals in forward environments using tactical kitchen equipment.
The Philip A. Connelly Competition evaluates food service personnel on recipe accuracy, food safety, equipment maintenance and presentation under field conditions. A single brigade team advances from the Eighth Army evaluation to higher-level Department of the Army judging.
