Arthur M. Blank U.S. Soccer National Training Center Opens in Georgia, Hosting First Men's National Team Camp
The Arthur M. Blank U.S. Soccer National Training Center in Fayetteville, Georgia, opened its doors to the men's national team this week. The 200-acre facility serves all 27 U.S. Soccer national teams.
nypost.comU.S. Soccer Federation employees lined the walkway of the Arthur M. S. Soccer National Training Center on Thursday afternoon and gave the men's national team a sendoff as it departed its first camp at the new facility.
The center sits on a 200-acre site in Fayetteville, Georgia, approximately 20 minutes south of Atlanta's airport. The land was a vacant cow pasture until ground was broken in 2024. The facility includes 17 outdoor surfaces, 13 natural grass fields, and two indoor surfaces.
The main building contains 23,000 square feet of glass. S. Soccer, including men's, women's, youth, beach, and adaptive sport teams, as well as the federation's business operations.
U.S. Soccer National Training Center, said the federation studied several models before finalizing the design. “Our previous sporting director [Matt Crocker] had a lot of connections with [England’s] FA and so we did look at St.
George’s Park [England’s national training ground] closely,” Norton said. “We also look at the places we’ve been, whether that be the location out in Carson, what we’ve got in Kansas City as well. ” The federation held a March camp at Atlanta United’s training ground but deliberately kept players away from the new site so they would see it for the first time ahead of the World Cup.
Players who trained at the facility this week described their reactions. S. Soccer teams at all levels had no permanent home base and used different cities and MLS training facilities.
The first power chair team to visit the facility had previously held a camp in a church in Fayetteville. Norton said the team had never had a spot to charge their chairs, change, take showers, or train together before the new facility. The beach soccer team had never had a home facility before.

Youth teams trained at the facility in Fayetteville this week alongside the senior men’s team. Mauricio Pochettino attended training for the U19s. The practice fields are terraced, with senior teams training on the upper fields and youth teams further down the hill.
