Ask Gemini in Drive Adds Gmail Access for Eligible Subscribers
Google's Ask Gemini in Drive feature now includes Gmail as a data source. The update is available to Google AI Pro, Ultra, and certain Workspace subscribers.
EngadgetGoogle's Ask Gemini in Drive feature now lets eligible users query Gmail in addition to Drive files and folders. The company announced the expansion on its Workspace Updates blog. Users can select Gmail from the sources panel and ask questions that span emails, files, and folders.
It is now listed as generally available after leaving beta.
Users click the Ask Gemini button after selecting Gmail as a source.
The system supports multi-turn questions about email threads and related content. Google stated that the tool draws from a complete view of business context to improve answer accuracy.
