The Dutch semiconductor equipment maker lifted its full-year sales target for the second time this year after reporting stronger-than-expected quarterly results. The company now expects 2026 sales between 43 billion and 45 billion euros.
ASML raised its 2026 sales guidance for the second time this year after posting stronger-than-expected quarterly results driven by demand for AI chips. The company now expects full-year sales between 43 billion euros and 45 billion euros with a gross margin between 54 percent and 56 percent.
It had previously forecast sales between 36 billion and 40 billion euros and a gross margin between 51 percent and 53 percent.
Net sales reached 9.3 billion euros, above the 8.8 billion euros analysts had expected. Net profit came in at 2.9 billion euros versus the 2.6 billion euros forecast. The stock rose more than 7 percent at the open before closing the session 4.4 percent higher. Shares have gained 115 percent since the start of the year.
The company said order intake remained extremely strong in the first half of the year. It plans to increase 2026 low NA EUV capacity by 30 percent and 2026 DUV immersion capacity by 30 percent. Customers are accelerating capacity expansion plans, the company said in a statement, giving it greater visibility into longer-term demand.
ASML continues to expect China to account for about 20 percent of total net sales this year. The Chinese market is moving in line with global trends, the company said. The company will provide an update on longer-term goals at a Capital Markets Day scheduled for June 10 next year.
