Atlanta police have increased security measures across the city ahead of the England versus Argentina World Cup semi-final scheduled for Wednesday at Atlanta Stadium. The Atlanta Police Department said it has enhanced its citywide public safety and security posture.

England and Argentina last met in a World Cup match in 1998. England goalkeeper Jordan Pickford stated it is "just a game of football" and predicted "football will do its talking" during the match.
