yardbarker.comThe Chicago Bears offense has looked more polished through OTAs and minicamp in 2026 than at the same point in 2025. The improvement comes in Caleb Williams’ second offseason under head coach Ben Johnson. Johnson told reporters on Thursday, June 12, 2026, that Williams wants to win Super Bowls in Chicago.
Johnson said Williams has been clear and consistent about that goal over the last year and a half. Johnson has tracked every throw Williams makes after practice on a graded scale to raise completion percentage. Williams said completion percentage affects how the offense is called, how routes are run, and which concepts are used.
Williams said the daily emphasis on completion percentage has made him more conscious of the metric and is helping him improve. The two men now share expectations for the team after spending more time together in meetings and on the practice field. Johnson encouraged Williams to spend a few weeks away from the coaching staff once the offseason program ends.
Training camp is scheduled to start in late July 2026.
