Belgium requested that FIFA relocate its training facility ahead of Friday's quarterfinal against Spain at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California. The request comes after Belgium defeated the United States 4-1 on Monday. Belgium advanced from the round of 16 while Spain finished as the No. 3-ranked team entering the tournament.
"The URBSFA has asked FIFA to relocate our training facility. We are currently in discussions with FIFA to use the LA Galaxy pitches, where the Red Devils will also train on Thursday, the day before the match," Belgium news outlet Le Soir reported. The proposed site lies about 12 miles from the match venue.
Belgium will be without midfielder Amadou Onana, who suffered an anterior cruciate ligament injury against the United States.
Spain enters as a large favorite at DraftKings Sportsbook with -390 odds to reach the semifinals. Belgium is listed as a significant underdog. The match is scheduled for 3 p.m. ET on Friday.
