Bose Launches Ultra Soundbar, Subwoofer and Speaker in Revived Lifestyle Collection

Bose launched the Ultra soundbar, Ultra subwoofer and Ultra speaker as part of its revived Lifestyle collection, bringing back a lineup originally debuted in 1990 and discontinued in 2022. The products are available for preorder now and go on sale May 15. Bose's last soundbar release was in 2023, and the Lifestyle Ultra Soundbar represents the company's first major redesign in over a decade.

The Bose Ultra Lifestyle speaker delivers 360-degree surround sound that is balanced at all volumes, with punchy bass and evenly distributed vocals. It features an upward-firing driver for spatial sound, two front-facing drivers, and uses Bose’s proprietary CleanBass technology with QuietPort acoustic opening for refined audio distribution.

The speaker supports pairing with a second speaker for room-filling sound.

The Bose Ultra Lifestyle speaker has a sandstone color that blends with wood furnishings, along with a modern mesh design, a wooden base on the limited-edition Sandstone model, and a textured knit construction. 3 and Aux, with integration for Alexa voice assistant. It is priced at $299 on Amazon and Bose, with a $349 limited-edition model in Driftwood Sand.

The new Bose speakers support AirPlay and Google Cast for multi-room audio, as well as Spotify Connect and Alexa+ in the US. They are Wi-Fi-enabled and support Bluetooth and auxiliary input for the Ultra Speaker. Bose reviewed the Bose Smart Soundbar in 2024.

The Bose Ultra soundbar automatically increases dialogue volume in loud scenes using SpeechClarity tech that employs AI to enhance dialog. It enhances dialogue and delivers room-filling sound, with Dolby Atmos and spatial audio technology built in. The soundbar features two up-firing drivers, four front-facing drivers, a center tweeter and two PhaseGuide drivers that make sound appear from areas without speakers.
