Braves Manager Says Acuña Jr. Expected Back This Week
Atlanta manager Walt Weiss said outfielder Ronald Acuña Jr. is on track to return to the major-league roster later this week after missing time with an injury. The team plans for him to play a few additional games at Triple-A before rejoining the club, primarily in right field.

Atlanta manager Walt Weiss said Ronald Acuña Jr. is progressing in his recovery and is expected to rejoin the major-league club later this week. Acuña has been sidelined since June 9. Weiss stated the outfielder will first play a few more games with the Triple-A Gwinnett Stripers before returning to the Braves.
Once back, Acuña is slated to see most of his playing time in right field. The team has not announced a specific date for his reinstatement. Acuña entered the season with a .251 batting average, seven home runs, 22 RBIs, 31 runs scored, and 15 stolen bases in 53 games.
The Braves improved to 57-41 after an 8-5 win over the Texas Rangers on Sunday. They open a series against the San Diego Padres on Monday night.
