Brazil defeated Scotland 3-0 in a FIFA World Cup 2026 group-stage match on or before 25 June 2026. Vinicius Junior scored two goals and Matheus Cunha scored the third. The result placed Brazil first in Group C and sent the team into the round of 32.
Scotland manager Steve Clarke said after the match that his team gave Brazil the first two goals and probably the third as well. He added that Scotland created one or two chances but none were clean finishes. Clarke stated he was not angry with the players.
He said he was disappointed because they did not reach the levels they can reach. Scotland's qualification for the round of 32 now depends on the remaining group-stage results.
