Bass is seeking a second term in the nonpartisan race. She faces Spencer Pratt and Councilwoman Nithya Raman.

A UC Berkeley–Los Angeles Times poll released Thursday showed Bass at 26 percent, Raman at 25 percent, and Pratt at 22 percent among likely voters. An earlier Emerson College poll had placed Bass at 30 percent. If no candidate receives more than 50 percent on June 2, the top two finishers will advance to a November runoff.

The governor stated that Bass’s work has produced an 18 percent decline in homelessness, historic drops in violent crime, and increased film production. Bass thanked the governor for state resources that reduced homelessness for two consecutive years.

The governor had previously expressed broad support while noting ongoing review of housing and homeless policies and fire-recovery efforts.
