Catherine Completes Three Peaks Challenge for Royal Marsden Cancer Charity
Catherine, Princess of Wales finished the Three Peaks Challenge last week by climbing the highest peaks in England, Scotland and Wales within 24 hours. Catherine, Princess of Wales completed the Three Peaks Challenge last week by climbing England's Scafell Pike, Scotland's Ben Nevis and Wales's Yr Wyddfa within a 24-hour period. BBC News reported that she undertook the climbs in aid of The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity.
She released new images on Instagram on Sunday showing her reunion with family members after the final ascent of Yr Wyddfa in north Wales.
The photos include Prince George, Princess Charlotte, Prince Louis, Prince William, her parents Carole and Michael Middleton, her brother James Middleton and a golden retriever. Catherine stated that the challenge offered a chance to explore life beyond diagnosis and to give something back.
She said she wanted to raise awareness for the deeper impact of serious illness and the importance of holistic healthcare.
BBC News reported that she paid tribute to The Royal Marsden as a place that holds great meaning for her and whose care and expertise are life changing. James Middleton posted on Instagram that he was incredibly proud of his sister and that it had been an honour to complete the challenge alongside her.
He stated that two years ago Catherine told him they would climb the mountain together and that they discussed climbing mountains while she was in hospital.
The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity launched a fundraising page for the walk to support holistic care for people with cancer. Catherine announced her cancer diagnosis in 2024 and stated she was in remission at the start of 2025.
