Chappell Roan Appears at Coachella 2026 Following Hotel Security Incident

Chappell Roan, a 28-year-old singer, was observed at the Coachella music festival in Indio, California, over the weekend. The event took place on Saturday. She appeared without her typical bold makeup, opting for a low-key look.

Roan wore a pirate-inspired outfit that included a gold and black vest, a brown belt, a tiered skirt, and brown cowboy boots. She accessorized with multiple rings and a colorful bracelet. She was seen walking alone among other festival attendees.

This appearance follows an incident last month at a hotel involving Jude Law’s 11-year-old daughter, Ada. Ada's stepfather reported on Instagram that a security guard berated Ada and her mother for walking near the area where Roan was eating breakfast. The stepfather stated that Ada became very scared and cried.

He questioned how such behavior could be considered harassment. In his post, the stepfather addressed Roan directly, stating “Without your fans you would be nobody,” and “And to the fans, she does not deserve your affection.” Roan responded on her Instagram Story, denying that the security guard was part of her team.

She said she had not been approached by Ada and called it crazy to assume she hates children. The security guard posted on Instagram that he made a judgment call based on information obtained from the hotel, events he had witnessed in the days prior and the heightened overall security risk of the location.

He noted that his interaction with Ada's mother was calm and with good intentions, and the outcome of the encounter is regretful.

The security guard clarified that he was not working on behalf of Roan.
