Colts to induct Vinatieri into Ring of Honor on Oct. 18

The Indianapolis Colts announced Wednesday that former kicker Adam Vinatieri will enter the team's Ring of Honor during the Oct. 18 home game against the Tennessee Titans at Lucas Oil Stadium. Vinatieri becomes the 21st person associated with the franchise to receive the honor. He is set to be enshrined in the Pro Football Hall of Fame next month.
He converted 14 field goals during the Colts' 2006 postseason run, including five in a divisional-round win over the Baltimore Ravens and three in the Super Bowl XLI victory over the Chicago Bears. He holds NFL records for career points scored (2,673) and field goals made (599). Vinatieri also set an NFL mark with 44 consecutive field goals during the 2015-16 seasons.
