Commanders Finish Minicamp After Quinn Keeps All Scheduled Days

Washington Commanders coach Dan Quinn said Tuesday the team would hold every scheduled minicamp day even as other clubs canceled or shortened their sessions. "Nope, we'll be here," Quinn stated. , ending the practices.
Players whooped, hollered, and raised their helmets as they gathered after the last session. The team then held a barbecue for players, coaches, and families to mark the close of the offseason. Quinn had stressed energy throughout the voluntary OTA sessions and the mandatory minicamp.
He compared video from a 2024 OTA practice to footage from the same day in 2025 and showed the clips to players who had been present both years. At one point Quinn halted an OTA session and restarted it because the rookies' energy level was too low. "Last year I felt [we] just weren't as connected," Quinn said.
The Commanders finished the 2025 season with a 5-12 record. Since then they added 31 new players and two new coordinators. Safety Jeremy Reaves said another factor contributed to the different atmosphere this spring.
