U.S. Central Command said it destroyed two Iranian drones that threatened international maritime traffic in the Strait of Hormuz. The action came on Sunday as the Middle East war reached its 100th day.

Iran fired a salvo of missiles at Bahrain and Kuwait on Saturday. U.S. drone interception and strikes on Iranian coastal radar sites. Accounts differ on the number of drones involved.

U.S. com reported four. Pakistan's interior minister Mohsin Naqvi visited Tehran on Saturday.

He said he would deliver a special letter from the Pakistani army chief to Iran's supreme leader and a message from the prime minister regarding the current situation. Lebanese army chief Rodolphe Haykal also travelled to Pakistan on Saturday for talks with Pakistani military leader Syed Asim Munir.

A source with knowledge of the visit said it was linked to Pakistani mediation between Tehran and Washington.

Hezbollah rejected a new conditional truce agreement for Lebanon announced in recent days. An April 2026 ceasefire was never observed. Hezbollah attacked Israel on March 2, 2026, in support of Iran. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced Sunday that the Israeli military struck a militant command centre in Beirut's southern suburbs.

He said the strike responded to fire towards Israeli territory. Lebanon's state-run National News Agency reported that the strikes targeted two apartments in two buildings. An AFP photographer observed two apartments damaged in a building on a narrow street.

Residents attempted to leave the area, creating traffic congestion, while the Lebanese army deployed to the site. U.S. are at a deadlock. He called for the release of some $24 billion in frozen Iranian assets.

Iran's top diplomat Abbas Araghchi described negotiating with Washington as very cumbersome in a CNN interview published Sunday. U.S. may use frozen Iranian assets to compensate Gulf allies for damage from Iranian strikes.

A source familiar with Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent's thinking said Washington would work to allow Iranian assets to be made available to Gulf allies to support rebuilding and repairs. com reported that an Iranian drone strike damaged Kuwait's main airport earlier in the week, killing one person.
