Control Resonant Sequel Announced with Dylan Faden as Sole Playable Character, Releasing September 2026
Remedy Entertainment announced the September 24 2026 release date for Control Resonant during the June 2 2026 PlayStation State of Play. The trailer previewed a story centered on Dylan Faden as the sole playable character.
The VergeControl Resonant will be released on September 24th, 2026. A trailer for the game premiered during the PlayStation State of Play show on June 2, 2026, and offered the first look at its story. The trailer centers on Dylan Faden, who was imprisoned for much of the first Control game.
Mikael Kasurinen of Remedy Entertainment stated that Dylan Faden will be the sole playable character in Control Resonant. Jesse Faden, the protagonist of the original Control, also appears in the sequel. Kasurinen said Jesse “shapes the path” in Resonant.
“In Resonant, we go further into the Fadens’ complicated past,” Kasurinen wrote in a blog post. ” “What lies ahead will push them further than either has gone before,” the post continued. Control Resonant will be available for preorder starting June 2, 2026.
Preordering the Digital Deluxe Edition grants 48-hour early access along with a digital artbook and the game’s soundtrack. The Verge reported the details from the State of Play presentation and Remedy’s accompanying blog post.
