The hospitality company changed its profile picture hours after video of the incident went viral during the June 18 championship celebration.
yardbarker.comA fan knocked the lowercase letter “n” off Convene’s sign on a building in Lower Manhattan during the New York Knicks championship parade on June 18, 2026. The detached letter was used as a prop while the fan danced, and footage from multiple angles spread rapidly online.
Convene, a hospitality and workspace company, responded by updating its official Instagram profile picture within hours to a custom graphic showing the letter falling from the brand name.
The new image matched the physical damage visible on the building. The parade route ran along Broadway and through the Canyon of Heroes. Jalen Brunson rode on a float carrying the Larry O’Brien Trophy and jumped off to let fans approach the championship hardware.
The Knicks last won a title 53 years before the June 18 event. Millions of fans lined the streets, and some climbed buildings or other structures to gain a better view of the floats. In a separate incident during the same parade, a fan on top of a building structure collapsed and was reported to be overdosing; onlookers intervened to assist.
Convene’s updated profile picture drew attention for acknowledging the moment rather than issuing a statement about the sign. The company did not comment further on any plans to repair the physical logo.
