Convicted Frank Founder Seeks Pardon After JPMorgan Fraud Verdict and Seven-Year Sentence

CnbcCharlie Javice, who founded the college financial aid startup Frank, is seeking a pardon from the Trump administration after her conviction for defrauding JPMorgan Chase, The Wall Street Journal reported Sunday. Javice was sentenced last year to more than seven years in prison. She is appealing the verdict.
JPMorgan acquired Frank in 2021 for $175 million. The Trump administration has been considering a wave of 250 pardons to mark the United States' 250th birthday, the Journal had previously reported.
A Javice spokesman declined to comment to CNBC. JPMorgan did not immediately respond to a request for comment on the report.
