Cotopaxi Releases Allpa 35L Travel Pack in Del Día Dark Colorway
The updated pack uses leftover black fabric and features improved straps and pockets. It is sold for $230 and carries items for a weeklong trip.
WiredCotopaxi sells the Allpa 35L Travel Pack Del Día Dark for $230. The bag is made from 100 percent leftover black fabric that would otherwise go to a landfill. The pack weighs 2 pounds 7 ounces. It includes air-mesh shoulder and hip straps, an exterior stretchy water-bottle pocket that holds up to 32 ounces, and a luggage pass-through strap.
Interior panels and pockets vary because each Del Día pack uses handpicked leftover fabric scraps. The reviewed bag showed multiple bright colors inside. The suitcase-style full-zip opening lays the pack flat. YKK zippers allow a padlock. The bag has one large compartment, one medium compartment, one small compartment, and a front-access zip pocket with a key clip.
A zipped and padded fleece-lined laptop sleeve holds a tablet as well. Three large grab handles remain accessible when the pack straps and waist belt are tucked away.
Cotopaxi received B Corp certification shortly after its founding. One percent of annual revenue goes to a foundation that awards grants to nonprofits. The company states it will repair or replace the bag regardless of age. The reviewed unit carried a MacBook, chargers, cables, glasses, and clothing during a two-week test across two continents and four countries.
