Country singer Jelly Roll filed for divorce from his wife Bunnie XO in Williamson County, Tennessee court records show. The filing occurred on May 18 after nearly ten years of marriage. The couple married in Las Vegas in August 2016.
Roll, whose real name is Jason Deford, and Bunnie XO, whose real name is Alisa Deford, have no children together. Court records did not state a reason for the filing. The filing came just before Jelly Roll began his “Little Ass Shed Tour,” which started May 28 and runs through July 22.
Roll posted on Instagram earlier this year marking the couple’s tenth anniversary. “2016 was a dream. And we’re still living it. 10 years with my beautiful wife, the one and only Mrs. Bunnie Xo,” the post read. Posts on his account as recently as six weeks ago showed the couple together, and Bunnie XO’s account handle remains in his Instagram bio.
In February, Jelly Roll told People magazine that the couple had worked through difficult times. “Love, man. Love will always do it,” he said. Jelly Roll’s 18-year-old daughter Bailee Ann stated she is “disgusted” by the divorce filing. NBC News has contacted attorneys for both parties.
