CSAC Director Addresses Strikes in Gane-Pereira Fight
CSAC Executive Director Andy Foster commented on mixed reactions to the finish of Ciryl Gane's bout with Alex Pereira. Foster said some strikes landed to the back of the head while others struck the ear area.

CSAC Executive Director Andy Foster addressed questions about the legality of strikes during Ciryl Gane's finish over Alex Pereira. Foster said some punches reached the back of the head. He added that many landed on the ear.
"I'm sure that there are a few that got through that were probably to the back of the head, but I think Herb did exactly the right thing," Foster stated. "I think a lot of the punches caught the ear. " Foster described the sequence as consistent with typical hand-to-hand combat in mixed martial arts.
