Danis Says Chimaev Stayed Calm at RAF10 Press Conference, Leaving Him Unsatisfied

Dillon Danis said he left the final press conference for RAF10 feeling “really unsatisfied” after Khamzat Chimaev maintained a calm demeanor throughout the event. Danis told Red Corner MMA that he and others at the conference were “caught off guard” by the change in tone. The buildup to the event had included trash talk, tense face-offs, and social media exchanges between the two fighters.

“I don’t know what to expect tomorrow,” Danis said. ” RAF10 is scheduled to take place at the Chaifetz Arena in St. Louis. The main event pits Danis against Chimaev under the Real American Freestyle promotion’s ruleset.

Chimaev’s most recent UFC fight was a title loss to Sean Strickland. Danis’s most recent RAF bout was a loss to Colby Covington. Danis said the subdued atmosphere at the press conference left him uncertain about what to expect when the two fighters meet on the mats.
