Darnell Nurse Gives Edmonton Oilers Short List of Acceptable Trade Destinations

The 31-year-old left-shooting defenseman has four seasons remaining on an eight-year, $74 million contract signed in August 2021. 25 million annual salary-cap hit.
6 million after he receives a bonus this summer. Nurse was selected seventh overall by Edmonton in the 2013 NHL draft and has played his entire NHL career with the Oilers. He helped the team reach seven consecutive playoffs, including back-to-back Stanley Cup Final appearances in 2024 and 2025.
