Decart Launches Oasis 3 Real-Time World Model for Driving Simulation via API
The AI startup released its latest model Wednesday, offering API access priced at $0.02 per second and targeting autonomous vehicle developers first.
TechCrunchDecart unveiled Oasis 3 on Wednesday, an interactive world model that generates photorealistic driving environments in real time and is now available through an API. The model produces physically accurate scenes from one front-facing and two side-facing cameras, with each frame containing roughly 8,000 tokens.
Decart is initially offering the tool to autonomous vehicle companies that need to simulate rare driving scenarios at scale.
02 per second, while enterprise pricing varies by use case. The company plans to expand Oasis 3 into robotics and other physical AI applications. Oasis 3 is built on Decart’s earlier real-time video model Lucy.
More than 100,000 developers already use Lucy, primarily for e-commerce and live-streaming products. Dean Leitersdorf, co-founder and CEO of Decart, said the new release marks the first usable world model that developers can program on top of. He added that an entire developer community is expected to emerge around the technology.
Decart raised $300 million in a funding round a few weeks before June 10 2026, lifting its valuation to nearly $4 billion. Strategic investors in the round included Toyota, Adobe, and eBay, along with existing backer Nvidia. Leitersdorf said the funding followed sharp increases in demand for the company’s models across e-commerce, live streaming, and physical AI.
He noted that Decart’s optimization stack allows its models to run more than an order of magnitude cheaper than competitors on Nvidia, Amazon, and Google hardware. The company has spent drastically less than $100 million since its founding, according to Leitersdorf.
He compared the current moment to the early days of large language models, when OpenAI introduced its API and a developer ecosystem quickly formed.
