The Democratic National Committee published an analysis of its 2024 election performance on Thursday. Party Chair Ken Martin said the document did not meet his standards and declined to endorse it.
abcnews.go.comThe Democratic National Committee on Thursday released a report examining the party's 2024 election results. The document contains multiple sections left blank, including the executive summary and conclusion. Annotations throughout the report note missing source material and inaccuracies.
One section states that Democrats lost ground at every level due to inconsistent messaging and improper planning. The report also criticizes the use of the term "Bidenomics" for linking former President Joe Biden to economic concerns and for focusing on macroeconomic factors over microeconomics.
He said his decision to delay the document created a larger distraction and stated he was not proud of the final product. "I don't endorse what's in this report, or what's left out of it," Martin wrote. "I could not in good faith put the DNC's stamp of approval on it. " A disclaimer at the top of each page states that the document reflects the views of the author, not the DNC.
