Democratic Senate Candidates Raise $574 Million Through June 30

Democratic Senate candidates raised $574 million through June 30, compared with $336 million for Republican candidates, according to Federal Election Commission data. Eight of the top ten individual Senate fundraisers are Democrats. The two leading Democratic candidates reported $77 million and $68.5 million respectively.

The Democratic candidate with $77 million in receipts also holds $42.5 million in cash on hand. The second-place Democratic candidate holds $21.5 million in cash on hand. A third Democratic candidate who withdrew earlier this month raised $21 million. An incumbent Republican candidate in the same state raised $16.2 million.

The Democratic Senate campaign committee holds $38.9 million. The Republican National Committee holds $125.5 million. The Democratic National Committee holds $14.9 million. Nine states are viewed as the most competitive Senate contests this cycle. Democrats are defending several incumbents while targeting seats in four states.
