CNN data analyst Harry Enten said Democrats hold a 3-point lead on the generic congressional ballot based on recent surveys from NBC News, Ipsos and Marquette University Law School.
The NBC News poll conducted May 29 to June 7 gave Democrats a 5-point edge at 49 percent to 44 percent. Ipsos polling from June 3 to 8 showed a similar narrow advantage, while Marquette University Law School data from May 20 to 26 recorded a 3-point drop from winter levels.
Republican-led redistricting has raised the threshold for Democratic gains. Enten said Democrats need a 3- to 4-point national advantage to win back the House.
Kalshi prediction markets give Democrats a 78 percent chance to win the House but indicate Republicans are more likely to retain the Senate. Trump's approval rating averages between 37 and 39 percent across national trackers.
