Deputy Prime Minister David Lammy is responding to questions from Conservative lawmakers on a ban on new North Sea oil and gas drilling and on rising household energy costs.
The government has restricted issuance of new licenses for oil and gas extraction in the North Sea. Conservative members of parliament asked Lammy about the effects of that restriction on domestic energy supply.
