Detroit Red Wings sign forward Chase Stillman to one-year, two-way contract
Chase Stillman agreed to a one-year, two-way contract with the Detroit Red Wings. The 23-year-old forward was a 2021 first-round pick who has played only in the AHL. He is the son of former NHL player Cory Stillman.

Chase Stillman signed a one-year, two-way contract with the Detroit Red Wings on Saturday, ESPN reported. The agreement carries a value of $850,000 at the NHL level if he reaches the roster. Stillman, 23, is a forward from St.
Louis. He was selected by the New Jersey Devils in the first round of the 2021 NHL Draft. Stillman has played exclusively in the AHL, recording 18 goals and 40 points in 105 games with affiliates of the Devils, Vancouver Canucks and Pittsburgh Penguins.
The Vancouver Canucks did not tender him a qualifying offer last month before free agency began. Stillman is the son of Cory Stillman, a two-time Stanley Cup winner who appeared in more than 1,000 NHL games for the Calgary Flames, St. Louis Blues, Ottawa Senators, Florida Panthers, Tampa Bay Lightning and Carolina Hurricanes.
