Diego Brandao defeats Zhuman Zhumabekov by TKO in round two at Nomad Fighting 15

Diego Brandao defeated Zhuman Zhumabekov by TKO in the second round on July 4 at Nomad Fighting 15 after dropping him with a spinning back fist in round one and later absorbing a counter shot. Brandao dropped his opponent with a spinning back fist in the first round. He then shrugged off a counter shot in round two, walked Zhumabekov down and secured the finish.

Brandao, 39, produced the stoppage after his most recent MMA bout in October 2025, when he defeated Kai Kamaka III. Kamaka III is scheduled to compete on the undercard of Conor McGregor’s UFC return against Max Holloway on July 11. McGregor faces Holloway after a five-year hiatus from the Octagon.

Brandao faced McGregor in 2014 during McGregor’s first UFC headlining bout. Earlier in 2026 Brandao called out Dana White for backtracking on a promised UFC return, yardbarker.com reported.
