Disney has provided some technology staff with access to an AI Adoption Dashboard that tracks usage of AI coding tools including Cursor and Claude, according to Business Insider. The dashboard provides data on the number of active AI users, requests made, and tokens consumed over specified periods.
It also lists the most active users based on requests and tokens, which one streaming technology staffer described as a leaderboard.
from the dashboard indicates that top users make hundreds of requests daily and consume tens of millions of tokens. One employee invoked Claude approximately 460,000 times over nine work days in mid-April, averaging about 51,000 invocations per day.
A streaming technology staffer suggested this high usage likely stems from autonomous agents. Another staffer noted they monitor their usage to minimize waste but are not concerned about limits, stating the company would provide more quota if needed.
The dashboard has been in place for months, predating recent leadership changes at the company. Disney has increasingly adopted AI tools over the past year, providing employees with access to Claude, Cursor, and an internal chatbot called DisneyGPT.
Business Insider reported that a high-level employee described AI as a top priority for the company. This follows the collapse of a planned partnership with OpenAI.
