DJI provided new specifications for the Osmo Pocket 4P at an event in Malta. The device features dual lenses and expanded dynamic range options. It is already available in China with no set release date elsewhere.
EngadgetDJI released additional details on the Osmo Pocket 4P gimbal camera during an event in Malta. The model succeeds the Osmo Pocket 3 and includes two cameras, one with a standard wide lens and another with a 3x zoom lens equivalent to 60 mm on a full-frame sensor. Engadget reported that DJI stated the Osmo Pocket 4P will deliver 17 stops of dynamic range.
The company also introduced a new log mode called D-Log2 to support that range. A large aperture for the zoom lens remains undisclosed. The Osmo Pocket 4P will be offered in white in addition to black.
Its main rival is the Insta360 Luna Ultra. DJI has not disclosed price, resolution or frame rates. The device is already on sale in China. No release date has been set for Europe or North America.
