Dolphins Defeat Cowboys 36-16 at Suncorp Stadium

The Dolphins defeated the Cowboys 36-16 at Suncorp Stadium on Sunday afternoon. Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow recorded 234 running metres, two linebreaks and nine tackle busts. He set up two tries for teammate Jamayne Isaako with delayed passes.

Tabuai-Fidow also recorded eight try-assists for the season, a career high. The 24-year-old left North Queensland after the club selected Scott Drinkwater at fullback. Tom Gilbert ran 148 metres from 17 carries and scored a try. Felise Kaufusi, Kulikefu Finefeuiaki and Connelly Lemuelu also contributed significant running metres.

Dearden scored the Cowboys' opening try and set up a second try with a grubber kick. The team recorded 55 missed tackles. The Cowboys lost ball control after an early lead. Five attacking opportunities ended without points in the first half.

The Dolphins missed 24 tackles.

Three attacking sets ended when players chose to run instead of kick on the fifth tackle. Isaiya Katoa is expected to return in round 23. The team has a bye next week.
