A donor has directed $102.8 million into the current midterm election cycle, according to Federal Election Commission data reported by nypost.com. The sum was routed primarily through a super PAC established in 2020. The donor's direct contributions totaled $793,800, with the remainder passing through the super PAC. The same donor set a prior midterm record of $128 million four years earlier.

Spending patterns The super PAC received $67 million from the same source during the 2024 cycle. Current-cycle transfers represent a 52 percent increase over that figure. Additional personal contributions of $140,525 were recorded from a family member. Two candidates each received the legal maximum of $7,000 from both the primary donor and the family member.

Organizational structure The donor transferred control of the super PAC before the 2024 presidential election. A researcher at the Capital Research Center stated that the family member now directs the fund. The donor's foundation and its affiliated action fund operate separately and are not required to disclose political spending under their nonprofit status.

Tax filings covering 2025 activity for the action fund have not been released.
