DoorDash introduced a limited beta of its command-line tool dd-cli on July 15 that lets users order directly from an AI agent. TechCrunch reported that the tool supports searching stores, finding deals, and completing checkout. Co-founder and CTO Andy Fang announced the beta on X the same day and said early access is available by waitlist to U.S.
And Canadian macOS developers. DoorDash has previously experimented with offering its service via iMessage and operates its own AI chatbot called Ask DoorDash. The company also exposes its platform to external AI chatbots including OpenAI’s ChatGPT and Claude.
The sign-up form for the beta asks developers what they would build with access.
