AJ Dybantsa scored 23 points and grabbed seven rebounds to lead the Washington Wizards to a 104-85 victory over the Sacramento Kings in NBA summer league action on July 13. Dybantsa played 24 minutes and finished 6-for-15 from the field while missing five of six three-point attempts. He also recorded three steals, two blocks and three turnovers.
Dybantsa averaged 25 points, seven rebounds, two assists, 2.5 steals and 1.5 blocks across his two games. "It was kind of just testing grounds for me," Dybantsa told ESPN.
Dybantsa had scored 27 points in his summer league debut against the Utah Jazz on July 9. His most recent college game came on March 19, 2025, when he posted 35 points and 10 rebounds in a loss to Texas. Maxime Raynaud led the Kings with 20 points and 12 rebounds.
Dybantsa said he aims to become a first-team All-Defensive player and noted fatigue from the Las Vegas heat. The Wizards' young core includes Trae Young and Anthony Davis.
