Eli Lilly has signed a licensing partnership with AlzeCure Pharma to secure global rights to the Swedish biotech's preclinical Alzheimer's pipeline. Eli Lilly will pay $10 million in initial upfront development capital. The agreement also includes a multi-stage milestone track that could total more than $1 billion plus royalties.

The collaborative project is named Alzstatin ACD680. It is a preclinical molecular modifier targeting the processing enzyme paths behind amyloid-beta aggregates. Alzstatin ACD680 aims to neutralize sticky, toxic amyloid-beta assemblies before they create structural plaque chains.

The goal is to preserve baseline cognitive functions. @SeekingAlpha reported the transaction and noted that Eli Lilly is layering foundational, early-stage asset rights into its advanced internal clinical pipeline.
