England defeated Argentina 31-24 in a rugby union Test match on Saturday. The game featured eight tries and ended with England holding off a late challenge after leading 19-3 at half-time. England received four yellow cards, bringing their total to 14 across 10 matches in 2026.

Fin Smith, the fly-half, rated the performance seven out of 10 and noted that the team had spent 25-30 percent of recent games with fewer than 15 players on the pitch. Smith said England fans should expect more than five defeats in eight Tests this year. He added that the side is capable of winning every week given the resources of the Rugby Football Union.

The victory followed a 45-21 loss to South Africa at Ellis Park earlier in the tour and a win over Fiji. Noah Caluori, Benhard van Rensburg, George Kloska and Manny Iyogun made their England debuts. Manny Feyi-Waboso, 23, returned after missing the Six Nations with injury and breaking his jaw while playing for Exeter.
