ESPN Ranks 21 Quarterbacks for 2027 NFL Draft

ESPN draft analyst Jordan Reid published a scouting report on May 26, 2026, that profiles 21 college quarterbacks projected for the 2027 NFL draft. The report lists Arch Manning of Texas, Dante Moore of Oregon, CJ Carr of Notre Dame, and Trinidad Chambliss as the leading prospects.

Reid noted that the 2027 class follows two drafts in which only two quarterbacks were selected in the first round each year. He stated the upcoming class is expected to feature more early selections.

The 6-foot-6, 210-pound junior completed 3,105 passing yards, 25 touchdowns, and nine interceptions in his second season as starter. Reid wrote that Bailey shows arm strength for intermediate and vertical throws and can contribute in designed runs. CJ Carr of Notre Dame is also highlighted.

The 6-foot-2, 215-pound redshirt sophomore threw for 2,741 yards, 24 touchdowns, and six interceptions after winning the starting job as a redshirt freshman. Reid described Carr's throwing motion as smooth and noted that his eyes and feet align when on schedule.

The report includes an editor's note that Texas Tech quarterback Brendan Sorsby was removed from the list after the NCAA denied his reinstatement request on Tuesday due to prior sports-gambling violations. Sorsby has a court date set for June 1. Reid stated he will address NFL teams that may draft from this class in a later section of the article.
